Our anti slip stair nosings combine anodized aluminum or galvanized steel profiles with high-grade carborundum inserts to protect step edges and give reliable grip in commercial, industrial, residential, retail and public buildings. Fiberglass stair treads offer a corrosion-free option for outdoor and wet areas.
Profiles, widths, insert colors and grits can be customized. For stairs that must stay visible in the dark, choose luminous stair nosing; for a quick retrofit, use anti slip tape.
Types of anti slip stair nosing
Aluminum stair nosings with carborundum inserts, such as the H-024, YM-11, HJLY-1944 and the flat TH-1535, protect step edges and give durable grip in high-traffic buildings. Profiles are available in mill finish, clear or black anodized aluminum, or galvanized steel.
Fiberglass (GRP) stair treads and nosings do not rust or rot, which suits outdoor, wet and industrial stairs. Luminous stair nosings add photoluminescent strips so steps stay visible in the dark.
Carborundum grit grades and colors
Carborundum inserts are available from Super Coarse (H-10) and Extra Coarse (G-20) through Coarse (G-40) and Fine (G-60) to Extra Fine (G-80) and Super Fine (G-100). Coarser grades give more traction outdoors and in industrial areas; finer grades suit interiors. Inserts come in standard safety colors, premium colors and glow in the dark colors, and can be customized to match a design.
